Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales operations in the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will drive revenue growth, expand our distribution network and build strong relationships with retailers, distributors and key accounts in the food and beverage sector. This role is pivotal in promoting Dr. Smith’s premium product range, including fresh mushrooms, olives and specialty items, to achieve ambitious sales targets while aligning with our philosophy of excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Identify and onboard new retailers, distributors and institutional clients to expand market presence.
  • Manage a team of sales representatives, providing coaching, performance feedback and motivation to ensure team productivity.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities and opportunities for product penetration in the gourmet food segment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including conducting regular client visits, presentations and negotiations.
  • Monitor sales metrics, prepare reports on performance and collaborate with marketing for promotional campaigns.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards and regulatory requirements in the region.
  • Represent Dr. Smith’s at industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • MBA and 10+ years of experience in sales management within the FMCG, food and beverage or consumer goods industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and expanding distribution networks in a regional capacity.
  • Strong understanding of the Indian food market, particularly premium/gourmet products like mushrooms, olives and imported specialties.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in English and regional languages is a plus.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office is preferable
  • Basic knowledge of data analytics for sales forecasting is preferable.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
