Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Executive to drive growth in our HoReCa and retail segments. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships with distributors, retailers and HoReCa clients and expanding our market presence PAN India. The ideal candidate will be a proactive sales professional passionate about the food and beverage industry, with a knack for turning leads into long-term revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect potential clients, including hotels, restaurants, cafes/catering (HoReCa), retailers and distributors in target regions.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to promote our premium canned products.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor trends and emerging opportunities in the food sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders through regular outreach, presentations and negotiations.
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets by closing deals and upselling value-added services like warehousing and distribution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., logistics, marketing) to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Track performance metrics, prepare sales reports and contribute to business development plans for regional expansion.
  • Represent Dr. Smith at industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in business development, sales or account management, preferably in the food and beverage, FMCG or HoReCa industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets and building client networks.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of distribution logistics, and market dynamics in retail/HoReCa sectors.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable and able to travel within assigned territories.
  • Fluency in English and additional regional languages are advantageous.
